Our new laminar flow elements

With our new laminar flow elements, we have taken up and realized current customer requirements. This resulted in our short line laminar flow elements with a smaller size and reduced inlet and outlet sections.

With our new laminar flow elements, we have taken up and realized current customer requirements. This resulted in our short line laminar flow elements with a smaller size and reduced inlet and outlet sections.

Mode of operation:
Laminar flow elements (LFE) are differential pressure elements for volumetric flow measurement. LFEs consist of many parallel capillaries so that the Hagen-Poiseuille law is applicable in a good approximation. This describes the linear relationship between differential pressure and volumetric flow in capillaries. By determining the density of the medium through the measurement of temperature, absolute pressure and humidity, the exact mass flow can also be determined. The measurement accuracy is primarily dependent on the sensors used for differential pressure, absolute pressure and temperature.
