Laminar Flow Elements

Laminar Flow Elements, abbreviated as LFEs, are  ow sensors based on the differential pressure principle. They have been used successfully worldwide by customers for years.

Their operating mode is based on the Hagen– Poiseuille equation, which states that the  ow of a laminar  owing medium is propotional to the pres- sure drop between the beginning and the end of the passed through tube section. Thus results a virtually linear relationship of the LFEs between the  ow and the emerging differential pressure.
