Gas measuring bell
The gas measuring bell represents an advanced primary standard which is used to describe the unit of volume flow (m³/h) of flowing gas. The system is a modified reproduction of the gas measuring bell of the PTB in Braunschweig. This flow standard is used to describe volume flows up to 100 m³/h. Depending on the volume flow, the measurement takes between 20 seconds and 30 minutes.
Our customers use this primary standard to calibrate Laval or Venturi nozzles, different types of gas meters, laminar flow elements or mass flow meters. The calibration workflow is software controlled where the measurement data of the standard, the test item and the ambient data are captured, evaluated and stored automatically. Moreover, our product range includes piston standards and calibration benches based on supercritical Laval nozzles or as a combination of Laval nozzles and laminar flow elements (LFE).
