At EP Ehrler Prüftechnik Engineering, we have successfully commissioned our Real Gas Loop – and have already carried out the first customer measurements.
  
Many flow meters are still tested under idealized conditions. In practice, however, they operate with real gases, real pressures, and real operating conditions. Our new test bench enables exactly these realistic tests.

As an exhibitor at the f-cell in Stuttgart, we will present our current activities in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells on 4-5 October 2022:

A current system highlight is the construction of a test bench for humidifiers of fuel cell drives.

The test stand provides an air mass flow of up to 1500kg/h and a humidification and dehumidification capacity of up to 150kg/h for testing. Thanks to a consumption-optimised design, the system is unbeatable in terms of energy compared to the competition.

In addition, we are involved in various research projects. For us, the MetHyInfra project focuses on the flow measurement of hydrogen with critical nozzles and up to 1000bar. With this technology, the calibration of hydrogen fueling stations can take place in the future.

In mid-October 2022, we will then be present as an exhibitor at Chillventa – the international meeting place for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump technology.

Here we will present our optimised testing concept with a clear competitive edge for various ventilation units::

We build customer-specific test benches based on DIN EN ISO 5801 and AMCA 210 – this creates the best possible conditions for measuring fans in order to be able to carry out qualified measurements.

The individual test benches can be used for a wide variety of volume flow ranges from 1.5 to 100,000 m³/h can be designed, optionally as suction or pressure side chamber test benches. The chamber pressure can be designed individually. This makes it possible to simulate different load conditions on the test object. The use of specific measuring elements enables a measuring accuracy of up to 0.5% MV.

Especially for our fan test benches, we use Software solutions from our partner company Kirsten Controlsystems for the visualization of a fan test bench with image elements for displaying the measured values ​​and operation.

We would like to present a current project example:

BTB15,000 fan test bench according to AMCA 210

The fan test stand is customer-specifically designed for a volume flow of 150 to 15,000 m³/h with a measuring accuracy of ± 1% through the use of nozzles. The pressure conditions in the test chamber can be set automatically in a range from -3000 Pa to +1000 Pa. Another benefit is the integration of an automatic nozzle control system.

The Cluster Fuel Cell BW is an association of many players in hydrogen and fuel cell technology located in BW.

The Cluster Electromobility South-West is a network of players along the entire value chain for electromobility solutions.

Hydrogen distribution network, our customer, RMA Rheinau GmbH Co. KG, has decided to set up a calibration loop for gas meters. In terms of its size, the system will be the first of its kind in the world. The hydrogen project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in order to promote possible solutions for the German hydrogen economy.
