Real Gas Loop
Flow calibration of technical and combustible gases
The EP Real Gas Loop is a flow calibration system for technical and combustible gases for a flow range of (0.01) 0.1 to 250 m³/h. The closed loop design enables long measuring times and pressures of up to 16 bar, while operation is resource- and cost-efficient at the same time. The system is long term stable and enables the best measurement uncertainties of up to 0.2 %.
Technische Daten

Qmax | 250 m³/h |
Measurement range | 1:2500 |
Measurement uncertainty | 0.2 % MV |
Media | Air, nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, natural gas and mixtures with natural gas, other non-flammable and flammable gases |

Measuring principle – Advantageous closed loop design
Long measurement times and pressures up to 16 bar, Resource- and cost-efficient
The media flow of the real gases is carried out in a closed loop using a hermetically sealed blower. Temperature conditioning compensates for the heat introduced into the system by the blower. This design avoids continuous emission of the gas media into the atmosphere.
